The morning after Mass Innovation Nights is when the real work begins. Emptying my pockets of business cards and lining up replies, getting the blog posts up, consolidating and reviewing the tweets and Twitpics, uploading and editing video footage, checking out Facebook pages and LinkedIn messages.
I know the June Mass Innovation Night was so much fun you forgot to tweet, Adam’s definition of a good party, (OK, a few 100 people did anyway), but don’t forget to take a moment and record your thoughts about the evening in your blog. Remember the totally nifty product that your best friend, Uncle Melvin or Cousin Chris the CTO would love? Tell them about it. Last night was a great addition to New England Innovation Month because we had Innovation everwhere. Also, a great follow up to the morning’s IT Dialogue event held at Microsoft’s funky Cambridge pad. (I want one of those crazy tables.) More on the morning later but there was lots of news we need to share from that event and it may take a few posts.
So, get on the stick and get the footage out of the camera, upload it and send us a link. If anyone has a picture of one of the swordfighters checking out a demo, I want to see it. (Winslowshire made a great case for “an innovative fundraiser” when they approached us — most people who do fundraisers keep it to the traditional rubber chicken dinner and silent auction. They are putting on a full Renaissance Faire.) Not every product launch party and networking event can boast a sword fight, right? Or, give out Popsicles? Or Screaming Flying monkeys? Darn, I was so busy I didn’t grab two for my kids. Thanks also to Chatterbox for bringing in the drinks — that was huge and made their table even more popular. ) I think July is going to seem tame by comparison but we have another batch of stellar products lined up already. Will work on confirmations and posting the new list ASAP.
We had 4 great demos — think we’ll stick with the voting aspect of MIN. The demo “pit” had ‘em packed in like sardines. Turns out that without the desks, (now gone forever but not lamented) you can fit more than 60 people in the amphitheater — I know, I counted.) You can count too if you count quickly while we pan the amphitheater from the mezzanine.
More later as the early returns come in — we’ll link to the blogs, pictures and such as quickly as we can. Thanks all — without you…it would be a big empty room!
We had a great time at Mass Innovation last night, and we can’t thank you enough for the opportunity to get the word out about Winslowshire!
It was also great to meet tweeple that I chat with online and put a face to the name.
Thanks again for the opportunity!
