Bloggers are our buddies. When we first started Mass Innovation Nights, Scott Kirsner and a group of bloggers really helped put the concept on the map and rev up the pre-event publicity because, hey, what’s an event without attendees? The June Mass Innovation Night was no exception with pre-event posts from Gene Babon and Jeff Beene (Of course, we’d be nothing without @bostontweetup)
Starting to see the reviews from last night’s event. I am sure there will be more coming (let me know if you post one so we can link to it…)
First up is Adam with his blog post “Three Cool Products that Caught My Eye.” I also have to give Adam credit for his hysterical tweet about the event. It’s oh-so-true.
I had been dying to have Steve Garfield come out to Waltham for many reasons — mostly ’cause I just like the guy — but I also wanted to see what he would do with the fabulous backdrop the museum offers. He totally does not disappoint. Steve’s “Off On A Tangent” has some fabulous images. Make sure you click-thru to Flickr to see everything! (Maybe next time there will be video from Steve — if you are into cool cameras, check out his video blog if you have a spare moment or two — good stuff, and educational too!) But of course, if it is video you want, check out Tweetworks TV, episode 66.
Even the Innovators themselves get into the act with their own blog posts. Navisite also gave out stress balls which are desperately needed in these tough times. And, a nice thanks from one of our special guests, the Ren Faire gang, Winslowshire, who are raising funds for Winslow Farm, an animal sanctuary.
All day long I have been seeing tweets about Chatterbox betas. And flying monkeys. There was also lots of mutual Innovator support, Karen from IBM is coveting one of Urban Animal’s products. TechPRGuy liked them too. And we all got Popsicles with Popkins “holders” from the Popkins team. The demos went well too — people seemed to really like PaperShow. And VisITSP. And ThingMagic. And more love for Urban Animal
OK, it’s late and we’ve been up past bed time two nights in a row. More soon…
P.S. While looking for June event bloggers, I realized that I had missed posting a links to a couple of blogs. First up - Totally Incorrect’s post on our May event — oops! Sorry about that, David! (And you’re such a big supporter too!) Anyway, check it out — nice pictures and everything! Jerry Fireman’s posting notes about MIN — here and here. And, Alexis Karlin from Forrester’s Random Babbling and Stuff.
Ah yes – covet is the right word. I so want the peacock dustpan. Hopefully they’ll tell me where I can buy one!
We owe you a BIG thanks for letting us come to your event! We had a lot of fun, and with some luck in one week (eek!) we should see a few people from the event to come to our little Faire!
Thanks for the extra plug about the farm as well!
